Leather care
From time to time you may find that you need to clean your leather – whatever its use – and it’s important to know what type of leather finish you have before you start. Suede, nubuck and aniline leathers have little or no protective surface coating, which means they require special care. A pigmented (protected) leather on the other hand is more robust.
If you’re not sure what type of leather you have, see our leather types link.
General advice : –
- Follow the manufacturers’ care instructions
- Use products designed for use on leather
- Test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first
- Don’t use direct heat to dry the leather
